Below are a few samples of my work. I’ve included a few Tableau dashboards and marketing videos.

Billboard Top 100 Visualization

This was designed as an exercise using limited data – the Billboard Top 100 Charts, from the 60’s through most of 2020. I had initially wanted to view more information about the songs – genre popularity over time, song length, key – I even thought about looking up the session musicians for the dataset and exploring who played on what. But at the end of the day, restriction breeds creativity, and I wanted to see what could be done with only the Billboard Data.

Board Game Geek Game Finder

This one was an exercise in scraping data from the boardgamegeek and then using visualization as a tool to explore it. Start with mechanics and categories of games you enjoy, and then see what the top ranked games are. You can also filter by how much text there is in the game, game “complexity”, and a game’s optimal number of players. This data set would be a great candidate for a recommender system using machine learning.

Marketing Analytics Videos

Talking shop is fun. When Aleks asked me to discuss analytics with him, I thought it’d be fun to dive into Google Analytics, Hotjar, and Google Tag Manager. These are designed for content marketers and aren’t too technical.
